A Journey Stitched with Soul
Steel Pony began as a sustainable fashion brand rooted in hand-dyed textiles, wearable art, and eco-conscious design. But over time, it became something more. Something deeper.
Founded by Joanne Litz and Dennis Wolk, Steel Pony has evolved from a beloved boutique in Philadelphia into a lifestyle brand and movement that blends creativity, healing, and intention.
A Creative Reawakening
Joanne's story is one of both artistry and awakening. For years, she led Steel Pony with a deep passion for slow fashion and handcrafted garments. But even with a thriving business, something felt incomplete. The loss of her brick-and-mortar shop marked a turning point—an invitation to reconnect with her purpose. It wasn’t about letting go of the work, but about transforming the way she created.
Through mindful stitching, spiritual exploration, and reclaiming creative rituals, Joanne began to see her artistry as more than design—it was healing. It was embodiment. And it was hers to share. Out of that transformation, Threads4Healing was born: a companion to Steel Pony that offers courses, tools, and practices for creative self-discovery.
Together, Steel Pony and Threads4Healing now serve as a sanctuary for women who crave more depth in the everyday. Whether you're wearing a hand-dyed kimono, journaling with intention, or learning to slow stitch as a form of meditation, you are invited into a space that honors presence, meaning, and self-expression.
This is more than a brand. It’s a way of life. And you’re welcome here.
