• Philadelphia, PA May 18: Steel Pony, an art to wear company, will be participating in the upcoming Paradise City Arts Festival May 23-26th at the Tri-County Fairground, Northampton, MA. They will be launching a new program called The Pony Project. A percentage of sales made during the show with The Pony Project label will be donated to WGBY public television.

• The Pony Project, brainchild of Joanne Litz & Dennis Wolk, Artists and owners of Steel Pony, is a program that recycles fabrics and “unwearable” clothing into unique One of a Kind items supporting green initiatives and local communities. “We take things that are not saleable and create beautiful works of wearable art that are then sold at various events to benefit a local charity that we feel follows our ideals” says Joanne. “Our goal is to mentor young designers to think “out of the box” to create things from existing elements creating sustainable clothing that is also “artful.”

United States of America (Press Release) September 9, 2008 — New Haven, CT– Steel Pony ArtWear will showcase their socially conscious threads at the 2008 Connecticut Green Expo on Sunday, September 14, 2008 from 11am- 4pm.

The focus of the Green Expo is One Planet, Many Choices. The mission is to show solutions available today for clean energy, green transportation, good food, clean air and water, waste reduction, and sensible residential living. Approximately 80 vendors are scheduled to participate in this year’s event.

As one of the only clothing exhibitors, Steel Pony hopes show consumers that high fashion ArtWear can be socially and environmentally conscious. Steel Pony designers, Joanne Litz and Dennis Wolk, have been longtime advocates of community and planetary health and well-being.
